I have two middle school aged sons, and I'm fluent in middle school language. My sons are active in their school from participating in Scholars Bowl to playing every sport there is to offer. My husband is also a teacher/ coach and as a family, they stay busy attending and supporting each other in various events throughout the school year.

I believe that, “Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”― Rita Pierson
Hayden Hudson, Assistant Principal & Athletic Director
I got my start in education six years ago at Maize Middle School. I primarily taught 8th Grade U.S. History in addition to Study Skills and Exploratory Social Studies. I also coached football and baseball at Maize High School during that time.
I was married this past June and bought a home with my wife, an Athletic Trainer who has experience working at the NAIA and Division 1 levels. In my spare time, Mr. Hudson enjoys walking the family dog, hunting with his dad and playing the occasional video game from time to time.
I am also a K-State alum and avid Wildcat fan. While I was a student at K-State, I worked as a student equipment manager for the football team. My experiences with the team is what pushed me to become a teacher and coach.
I am excited to continue my educational career by stepping in the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director position, in the same school where I first started teaching. I am so grateful to continue serving the district that gave me my start.
